Birth of EM
Being surrounded by agriculture all my life, spiked my interest in Fort Valley State University, later obtaining my bachelors of science degree in agricultural economics. Five years after gaining experience in my agricultural related career field, I noticed a need for fresh produce in my community and dedicated myself to the task.
History
Although EM was established summer 2017, this land nor my family is new to agriculture. My father tells stories of how he plowed, cultivated, and sold watermelon on this same property 40 years ago. My grandfather, Richard “Pig” Miller was a full-time vegetable and cattle farmer in the Salem Community.
